Advanced Placement (AP) Courses
AP courses are the US version of IB courses and A levels in the British system. BHS offers AP classes for free as part of its curriculum, or for a fee as an individual class separate from our school.
AP courses are designed to prepare high school students for the rigors of university-level coursework. Indeed, elite universities (European and US) in the world normally require AP courses for students who graduate with an American High School Diploma.
In the American university system, AP courses are considered university-level classes. Therefore, students who receive passing scores on AP tests can also earn credit for American university courses while still in high school.
AP courses are included in the tuition fees excluding obligatory books and materials.
AP courses are also available individually for non-BHS / full-time students (in-person or online) for a fee of 3000€ per course (includes 2 semesters)
+ 500€ matriculation fee.
AP Exam Center
BHS is the main AP Exam Center for Europe for both BHS student and non-BHS students. So even if you are not a BHS student, you can still take your AP Exams here. The deadline to apply is March 1st 2024.
