Advanced Placement (AP) Courses
AP courses are the American version of, and equivalent to, IB courses or A levels in the British system.
AP courses are designed to prepare high school students for the rigors of university-level coursework. Indeed, the best universities in the world normally require AP courses for students who graduate with an American High School Diploma.
AP courses are considered university-level classes in the American school system. Therefore, students who receive passing scores on AP tests can also earn credit for American university courses while still in high school.
AP courses are available as part of the American School Program or separately.
